Pittman, AMETEK Technical & Industrial Products
Pittman's brush-commutated and brushless DC motors can be fully customized according to customer specifications and requirements. These motors can be equipped with spur or planetary gearboxes to increase torque and decrease speed, with rear-mounted power-off and power-on electromagnetic brakes in order to increase safety and with energy saving features to increase the holding capacity. Motor voltage, speed, continuous torque and other parameters can be tailored as well. Modified motor shafts with a flat, journal, cross hole, keyway, slot, groove, gear, pulley, or any other combination also belong to the possibilities. The configuration of these motors can be modified according to mounting challenges or specific application requirements.
The May issue features a Preview on Europe's biggest measuring technology fair, Sensor+Test 2013. This is supplemented by a Focus on Sensors, Test & Measurement that includes product news, as well as a technical article and an interesting application. Another case study highlights the use of an RFID system in a Chinese engine manufacturing plant. Furthermore, IEN Europe has an article that asks the question Is There a Future for the PLC? . Throughout the magazine, you will also find brand new products launched at the recent HANNOVER MESSE, for example a Motor Control Center for predictive maintenance.
