Allowing Red Lion’s G3 Series HMIs, Data Station Plus and Modular Controller Series to monitor and control one or more Omron STI G9SPs, the new communication driver is the latest addition to over 200 protocols that Crimson 3.0 currently supports. The latter is the complimentary and easy-to-use software platform for programming the company’s products. With the addition of this driver, the company’s products can act as a gateway to one or more G9SPs, allowing them to pass data to virtually any PLC or SCADA system within seconds. This is achieved through simple drag-and-drop data-mapping; no PLC ladder logic is required. Serial and Ethernet versions of the driver are available to accommodate both types of G9SP communications.
