Moxa introduces the IMC-21GA series, a new series of industrial Gigabit Ethernet-to-fiber media converters. It converts from 10/100/1000BaseT(X) to 100/1000Base-SX/LX transmission and features Energy Efficient Ethernet (IEEE 802.3az) for low power consumption, 10K jumbo frames to increase throughput, and a selection of 100/1000BaseSFP modules for a better cost-to-performance ratio.
The converters feature wide temperature operation from -40 to 75°C. In addition, they offer a relay output warning function to prevent data loss or possible malfunction. Moreover, thanks to the link fault pass-through function, broken links can easily be troubleshot. The converters are designed for operation in tough industrial environments, and they are ideal for the use in video applications like the ones found in intelligent transportation systems, or in factory automation.
