B&R's Powerlink slave for FPGAS is a real-time Ethernet connection designed for automation component manufacturers. It focuses on cost-sensitive products such as compact sensors, powerful drives or modular I/O bus connection modules. The design of this Ethernet connection simplifies the usage of Powerlink technology. Thanks to the provided API any host processor can be connected to the Powerlink network via a serial port or an 8/16-bit µC interface. Direct connection of sensors with simple data links is also possible without the need of an external micro-controller.
