SKF ConRo Low is a greased and sealed unit for the horizontal stage of continuous casting machines which requires no re-lubrication. For easy installation they have been designed as a drop in replacement unit, dimensionally interchangeable with existing roll segments. This offers benefits such as: no grease reservoir, no grease pumping station, no contaminated or baked grease getting into the bearing arrangement and causing blockages and no grease reclamation, water separation and disposing in an environmentally safe way. They also include a self aligning system that can accommodate a high degree of roll expansion fluctuations.
