The enhanced ProSafe-RS R2.03.00 Safety Instrumented System from Yokogawa Electric Corporation includes a faster CPU module and a new digital output module suited for higher voltage devices. The number of I/O points has been increased to 1500 and the application capacity has been increased by 50%. The ProSafe-RS can be directly connected to 48 V DC field devices. Power supply through a relay is no longer necessary. The installation of I/O modules without disrupting input/output to or from any connected devices has been made possible. All of these features improve productivity and safety.
