The SG shock sensor series from Gimatic S.p.A. has been designed to prevent the failure of mechanical components by monitoring an increase of vibrations caused by accidental shocks and/or wear of shock absorbers and braking systems. The circuit has a 0÷10 VCC analogue output or a PNP or NPN digital output, which can be set to 10 different shock levels up to 35g. This series of shock sensors for cylinders and actuators complies with the European Directives (EC) and the packaging conforms with current Environmental Directives, as the plastic packaging material has been standardized for ease of disposal.
