The contact-free Simatic PXS810 ultrasound proximity switches for the Ex area are available in M18 compact design and in M30 K3 design, with a fixed sensor head. The M18 types are designed for sensing ranges 5 to 30 and 15 to 100cm, the M30 K3 for 6 to 30cm and a maximum of 60 to 600cm. The switches can each be operated as diffuse sensors, retro-reflective sensors or through-beam sensors and are suitable for use in areas such as paint shops, woodworking and food processing. The switches are equipped with stainless steel housing and Teflon coating especially for use in the food and beverage industries.
