The versatile compact synchronous drive system is a combination of a highly efficient motor, a drive computer with integrated power module (IPM), a power input circuit and the control electronics necessary for operation. Hanning's scompact synchronous motors fulfills IE3 requirements, which will take effect for this class in 2017. Performance classes are possible up to 2.2 kW in the 71/80 size. The drives are available with IEC end shields and shafts and with special, customer-specific geometries. In this regard, the overall length of the drives can vary between 240 mm and 310 mm. All motors have electronic protective circuits that ensure a reliable operation even with a maximum surface temperature of 70°C. The overall drive is designed to fulfill an IP 54 protection rating, optionally IP 55. In the power input area, the drive system is equipped with modern circuitry. Single-phase drives have a Power Factor Correction (PFC) and fulfill the harmonics standards EN 61000-3-2. In addition, noise filters are also available, ensuring that the drives can even be implemented in living areas according to EN 61800-3. The modular design of these filters allow an individual configuration of drives. The versatile interface connects the power control electronics with a customer-specific control unit that has a simple membrane keypad. Advanced functions are available for diagnosing the drive besides speed control and displaying the operating status. The combination with a serial interface, a CANopen or Profibus DP interface ensures that the compact synchronous drive contributes to reliable processes even in complex systems.
