The TKR 0200 solid plastic carrier is suited for use in handling and installation systems, robots, meters, automatic pick and place systems, printing and textile machines. A special feature of the system is that flexible plastic lips connect the chain elements. This achieves smoother operation and avoids the abrasion occurring with pin and hole connections. The abrasion-resistant plastic connectors greatly reduce wear. The low-noise construction of the chain bands and the small pitch ensure quiet operation. The unit has a total height of 36 mm, an inside height of 28mm and inside widths of 40, 60, 80 and 100mm. The bend radii are 55 - 150mm. The modular design allows simple and quick separation of the individual chain links; no additional loose connecting elements are required. Variable connection options are easy to change at the driver and fixed point simply by rotating the connecting pieces, even as a retrofit.

The May issue features a Preview on Europe's biggest measuring technology fair, Sensor+Test 2013. This is supplemented by a Focus on Sensors, Test & Measurement that includes product news, as well as a technical article and an interesting application. Another case study highlights the use of an RFID system in a Chinese engine manufacturing plant. Furthermore, IEN Europe has an article that asks the question Is There a Future for the PLC? . Throughout the magazine, you will also find brand new products launched at the recent HANNOVER MESSE, for example a Motor Control Center for predictive maintenance.
