SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2009 Review |

Despite the present state of the economy, SPS/IPC/DRIVES offered once again visitors a comprehensive overview of the automation industry. In the 20th year of the event, about 1,300 companies presented their products and services. Numerous new developments designed to enhance the competiveness of users’ products were displayed. Over 200 exhibitors from outside Germany took chance to present themselves to German users in Nuremberg.
The main topics at the forums in the exhibition halls and the simultaneous conference were “Safety and Security”, “Energy Efficiency” and “Industrial Identification”. Topic specific panel discussions took place at the forums in hall 2 and in hall 8, where the forum was led by the ZVEI e.V. These topics were also given particular focus by the exhibitors on their stands.
The joint stand at SPS/IPC/DRIVES provided concise and comprehensive information about a specific topic of the electric automation industry and offered visitors the possibility of comparing different solutions in one place.
