Advanced Pyrometers with Line Optics

The ISR 6 and IGAR 6 Advanced from LumaSense are two digital 2-color pyrometers designed for a broad range of non-contact measurement applications. They come with standard optical heads, but they are also optionally available with integrated line optics which deliver a wider spot in shape of a line and deliver user benefits. The line shaped spot enables vibrating or oscillating wires or a moving pouring stream not to transfer out of the pyrometer’s spot. Thus, the wires and the pouring stream must be respectively aligned diagonally to the line shaped spot.


Fast processes measured reliably thanks to a response time of 2 ms


Moreover, the optics can be manually adjusted at distances between 210 mm and 5000 mm. For wire production the orientation of the line spot is vertical (wire move horizontally) for MB14 with a temperature range of 600 to 1400°C. For measuring pouring streams, the orientation of the line spot is horizontal (as the pouring stream runs vertical), for MB25 from 800 °C to 2500°C.
