The latest software release for ipf electronic´s OC64 family of camera sensors provides a range of testing instruments in addition to object verification or the checking of a surface, and checking for completeness. The additional testing instruments include five new functions: ‘caliper gauge’, ‘edge position’, ‘angle measurement’, ‘edge rotation’ and ‘circle measurement’. The ‘measurement package’ includes a calibration option to cater for sensor variants with exchange lenses. The object position tracking function has been variably designed. As an alternative to determining positions by making a comparison of a reference object to a sample, as a new feature, the position of a component can now be determined through making contact with corners or circles. Users are allowed to design their own user interface, where in the offers four pre-set views including ‘standard’, ‘calibration’, ‘automatic test series’ and ‘monitoring’.
