Two thirds the size of most 2D code readers, the LECTOR 620 code reader from Sick comes in a compact metal housing that is sealed to IP65 or optionally to IP67. It has a 43 x 67 mm² field of view with a field depth of 50 mm at a 100 mm reading distance. The series offers real-time decoding of all images captured with a frequency of 60 Hz. This improves decoding performance and thus timely detection and elimination of reading problems. Featuring an integrated LED display, the code reader offers an intuitive operation with a laser-based alignment assistance and parameterization at a push of a button. It is also possible to set up various operating levels on the operator interface in parallel with requirements. All of the relevant data interfaces including Ethernet TCP/IP, FTP, Ethernet IP, Profinet, CAN, RS 232/422/485, USB, and digital I/Os are available.
