Offering up to 75W output power, Calex QCM DC/DC converters come in a rugged encapsulated 67.3x106.7x25.4mm package with a thermal impedance of 3.7°C/W. The recessed barrier strips on the device allow all connections to be made in tight quarters while protecting the barrier strip from physical damage. The converter can be mounted in a variety of orientations and a heatsink may be added for extended temperatures. It offers two input ranges,18-36VDC and 36-75VDC, with 3.3, 5, 12, 15 and 24VDC output voltage options. All models offer ON/OFF. The idle current in the OFF state is only 6mA. Each model also offers output voltage trim to compensate for voltage drops over long leads. All units provide over-voltage protection, pulse by pulse current limiting, over-temperature protection as well as dead short current limiting. All models are isolated input to output. The switching frequency of the series is 360kHz. Other characteristics include 60dB input ripple rejection, 10mA peak to peak ripple, 0.02% typical load regulation, and 0.01% line regulation. Each model features undervoltage lockout and input reverse voltage protection. The case operating temperature range is -40 to +100°C.
