ELESA Wireless spindle positioning system consists of up to 36 electronic position indicators networked via radio frequency to a control unit so that connecting cables are not required for an easy and quick installation, which means saving a lot of time and meters of unnecessary cables.
The system (ELESA patent) is designed to interface a smart and intelligent machine, where frequent format changes are required with manual spindle positioning. It allows in multi-configurable packaging machines to save time and zeroing human errors during set-up with an easy and paperless mode.
Once the set-up profile has been called up by PLC, UC-RF control unit transmits the target position to each DD52R-E-RF indicator. Current and Target positions are displayed on the LCD of the indicator. Now the operator can manually set the position of the spindles by simply following the instructions on the LCD.
The PLC on the machine can check if all the spindles are correctly set and verify if the set-up has been correctly completed.
