Emerson introduced the AMS Asset Monitor, an edge analytics device, that through continuous monitoring provides actionable insights and predictive analytics and digitalizes essential assets.

Asset analytics at the edge to produce actionable insights

The latest product of Emerson, a global technology and engineering company that provides automation solutions, the AMS’s easy deployment, embedded logic-based analytics, and intuitive health score facilitate the monitoring of essential assets, in turn improving operations and decision-making. Moreover, it continuously monitors and performs calculations, providing analytics at the edge without relying on third parties or the cloud software. The health scores can then either be communicated via browser or through real-time alerts on mobile devices, if they are integrated with Plantweb Optics

John Turner, Product Manager for Online Prediction at Emerson, stated, “The AMS enables personnel across the plant to see the current health of essential assets along with suggested actions to improve asset health. This allows them to make informed decisions to maintain reliability, increase uptime and maximize productivity.”
