Baumer has extended its line of cylinder sensors that detect the exact position of pistons in pneumatic cylinders. Available for T and C slots, the sensors have been enhanced in performance and reliability. For instance, the sensitivity is optimized to produce a more precise and reproducible switching characteristic. Each sensor is tested upon its sensitivity prior to delivery. Additionally, upgraded materials are used to make the sensors more robust. The cables, for example, now consist of PUR, to ensure trouble-free use of the cylinder sensors in oily environments. The increased robustness is also evident in the salt water environment resistance of the sensors. The magnetic sensing technique, forgoing any moving parts, enables maximum sensor product life by keeping wear down to a minimum. The MZTK 06P1013 line of sensors for T slots can be easily and quickly installed in the slot from above. No cylinder disassembly is required, even if both front faces are equipped with installation panels. Thanks to a wide selection of mounting accessories, the sensor can be conveniently attached to all common cylinder types. The result is a reduction of the required sensor types and a simplification of the warehousing. All sensors are available in PNP or NPN as well as cable or fly lead connector versions.
