In order to save space and reduce cabling, Astrosyn International Technology developed a miniature drive that can be retrofitted to a stepper motor's rear flange. There are 3 models available with maximum output currents ranging from 2A to 8A and voltages of 35v or 40v. All models are 42.3mm long x 42.3mm wide x 13.5mm high. The rugged die-cast aluminum construction of these self-contained bipolar drives provides efficient heat dissipation. Microstepping modes are available from full stepping down to 1/16 step. Automatic current reduction and standstill are also provided.
