The new ABSSAC linear devices have precision ground ball nuts, which then operate with precision cold rolled formed screws. The ball screw and nut combination delivers a lead accuracy close to a precision ground screw but with considerable cost saving. The standard working tolerances can achieve a cumulative lead error C7 (+- 0.05/300mm) or C10 (+-0.21/300mm) as standard. A high mechanical efficiency of over 90%, means the required torque is reduced to only 1/3 of what is required to drive a conventional lead screw and plastic nut design. The uniqueness of these linear devices is that they utilise precision ground ball nuts, which then operate with precision cold rolled formed screws.

The capability of supplying the ball screws machined to print so that they can be placed immediately into the application adds another reason for use of this product-. By having the ball screw assemblies delivered complete this immediately reduces the scrap rate for the customer.
