ExxonMobil's Mobilith SHC 100 synthetic grease helped Dalian Cement Group Co., Ltd., reduce unscheduled downtime, bearing replacement and labour related costs, saving $153,000 (€129,391) annually.
The China-based company faced frequent multiple bearing failures, due to its hammer crusher overheating.
After an on-site investigation, ExxonMobil engineers recommended the company switch its conventional lubricant to Mobilith SHC 100 synthetic grease. The high performance grease is formulated for extreme environments, and its advanced formulation resists viscosity thinning and oxidation at elevated temperatures.
After transitioning to Mobilith SHC 100, the hammer crusher bearings no longer experienced overheating problems. This in turn significantly reduced bearing failures and related unscheduled downtime.
These benefits resulted in significant cost savings and enhanced safety by reducing employee-equipment interaction.
