The DIN Rail SE400S-X10 by Kvaser is a multi-channel programmable Ethernet to CAN/CAN FD interface for DIN Rail mounting. Equipped with four CAN/CAN FD channels, it can support up to four optional Kvaser DIN Rail SE400S-X10 I/O add-on modules, analog, digital and relay, sharing the same mounting system, with no tools at installation. The I/O modules communicate with the SS-XE with optical bus and can be controlled from the standard API with CANlib SDK or from the master unit with Kvaser t programs. 


Capable of sending up to 20000 messages per second, per CAN channel


A t program (C-like code) can transform the Kvaser DIN Rail SE400S-X10 into a gateway or bridge between up to four CAN networks. Thus, it can filter out certain messages and inject faults or modify signal values if necessary. This Ethernet to CAN/CAN FD interface is suitable to connected-factory environments, and its Ethernet connection facilitates communication with the world beyond the production-floor. When connecting the device to the intranet, the CAN information gathered can consequently be recorded, analysed and stored at a remote location, whether that is across the corridor or on another continent.
