After 18 years of service at Schaeffler, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Peter Gutzmer will retire from his position as Schaeffler’s Chief Technology Office. Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of Schaeffler AG, remarked Professor Gutzmer’s positive impact and lasting innovative legacy on the company’s technology portfolio, “Under his leadership we successfully future-proofed our company-wide IT organisation and established a digitalisation department.”

Strategic positions filled from Schaeffler’s ranks

Uwe Wagner, the current Head of Research & Development, Automotive OEM and Industrial, has been appointed as Professor Gutzmer’s successor. Georg F. W. Schaeffler, Chairman of Schaeffler AG’s Supervisory Board, stated, “We are delighted that we have been able once again to fill a key position in the Schaeffler group with a top performer from within our own organisation.”
