Measurement Computing adds a new member to its series of DAQ HATs - professional DAQ modules designed for the Raspberry Pi® platform. MCC 172 is a dual-channel module for acquiring IEPE sensor data.

MCC 172 accepts direct connection of piezoelectric sound & vibration sensors according to the popular IEPE standard. Data can be sampled simultaneously with 24-bit resolution and sampling rates up to 51.2 kS/s per channel. No additional signal conditioning will be required for acquiring aliasing-free signals up to 23 kHz. For higher channel count multiple DAQ HATs (Hardware Attached on Top) can be directly stacked onto Raspberry Pi‘s GPIO connector, synchronized to a single sampling clock with a max aggregate throughput rate of 307.2 kS/s.

MCC DAQ HATs come with high-quality open-source software libraries that support Python and C/C++ to facilitate quick and easy development. Full documentation and examples are included in an extensive validation process on all Raspberry Pi models with 40-way GPIO.
