EPTDA, a leading association in the PT/MC industry in the EMEA region hosted, for its Annual Convention, around 400 Power Transmission & Motion Control executives and industry leaders in Turkey, a key growth market for the association.

Sixteen years ago EPTDA started with 38 members and today, with almost 250 member companies - 129 distributors, 102 manufacturers and 15 associates - the association is the market leader in industrial distribution. The association is also investing a lot of efforts into broadening its geographical expansion in order to create new added value and reach new markets for its members. Hosting its 2014 Annual Convention in Istanbul is a strong signal of the association's firm commitment towards new markets. The association is welcoming over 10 Turkish companies as members and over 15 Turkish companies as first timers to its Annual Convention.

"Turkey is an important growth market for EPTDA. A great majority of the European Members are already active in Turkey and we are truly excited about bringing new PT/MC companies from the region to our membership base. I am confident that our new board of directors and new president will continue to drive and grow momentum not only in local but also in emerging markets. "said Hans Hanegreefs, Executive Vice President of EPTDA.

During the convention, EPTDA also announced the appointment of its 2015 Board of Directors at its 17th Annual Convention in Istanbul. The new Board of Directors will be headed by Mrs. Elisabeth Meister as the new President of the association. Mrs. Meister, the first female President of EPTDA, is also the General Manager of Ludwig Meister GmbH & Co, Germany and has been actively supporting the growth of the association as a volunteer since 2003.
