The IQVu from Crane Electronics is a torque data collector, consisting of a rugged tablet and an Android operating system. The tablet is sleek, thin, but tough with a 1.8m drop rating and IP65 ingress protection. The 7" screen of the device is robust and clear, and it also responds to touch from a gloved hand. The software allows the user to collect torque, angle and pulse data in the manufacturing and quality environment. The collector performs bi-directional measurement in Peak, Click, Pulse, MoveOn, Yield and Track measurement modes. Results are displayed using colour to enable the operator to easily view and interpret the information. Data can be stored, exported and analysed using a range of standard statistical calculations. Work can be scheduled to allow a planned approach to collecting data. Documents, work instructions, photographs and comments can be associated and stored with readings and Jobs providing further relevant information when required.

The CheckStar Multi is the latest generation of in line rotary torque transducer. The patented contact system ensures a connection is always maintained between the readout and the strain gauges. If angle is specified, the transducer will include an angle encoder giving 0.125° resolution (720 PPR). It also incorporates a light ring, giving the user visual feedback of the status of a tightening, when used with a Crane readout or data collector.
