In order to simplify cable management and routing when using multiple motors with one encoder and one servo drive, Nippon Pulse equipped its linear shaft motor with a parallel option. This linear shaft motor can drive two motors in parallel using only one encoder and one amplifier. The parallel option offers multiple advantages in high precision, high force, and Cartesian gantry robot systems and provides motors with mirrored cable exit locations. The cost of two motors with the new parallel option is the same as two standard linear shaft motors.
