Antaira Technologies has introduced the STE-6104C-T-V2, an industrial 4-port serial-to-Ethernet gateway designed to connect RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 devices to Ethernet TCP/IP networks. The gateway enables existing field equipment to communicate with modern control and monitoring systems without requiring hardware replacement, firmware modifications or rewiring. The device targets applications where serial equipment remains operational but needs network connectivity. Typical installations include PLCs, CNC machines, barcode readers, power meters, relays, RTUs, flow meters, pump controllers, HVAC systems and access-control equipment. By converting serial communications into TCP/IP traffic, the gateway allows SCADA systems, HMIs, historians and other industrial software platforms to access connected devices across the network.

Designed for industrial use

The STE-6104C-T-V2 incorporates four serial ports supporting RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 communications at data rates up to 921 Kbps. Each serial interface includes 15 kV ESD protection. Two 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet ports provide network redundancy, helping maintain communications if a link or switch becomes unavailable. To support different integration requirements, the gateway offers RAW TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP, Virtual COM and Tunneling modes. Management options include a built-in web server, serial console, Telnet access and a Windows-based configuration utility. Designed for industrial environments, the unit features an IP30 metal enclosure, DIN-rail or wall mounting options and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. A 5-year warranty is provided by the manufacturer.
