Bronkhorst is a pioneer in the field of micro to low flow liquid metering instruments. In addition to their series of instruments based on the thermal measuring principle, the company introduced a unique series of low-flow mass flow meters and controllers based on the Coriolis measuring principle, providing high accuracy, fast response and fluid independence. The new ES-FLOW™ Ultrasonic Flow Meter was designed to measure tiny volume flows from 4 up to 1500 ml/min with high precision, high linearity and low pressure drop, using ultrasound in a small bore tube. FAULHABER has extended the extremely powerful BP4 product family with the brushless DC-Servomotor 2264...BP4. As well as having an outstanding ratio of torque to size and weight, the miniature drive comes with integrated sensors and a wide speed range.
The 4-pole motor achieves a torque of 59 mNm with a weight of just 140 g and a diameter of 22 mm. Furthermore, the 2264...BP4 reaches up to 34,500 revolutions per minute. The reason for the outstanding performance is the innovative segment winding of the coil, which was developed for the brushless DC-Motors of the BP4 family. Thanks to the overlapping, nested, individually wound segments, an especially large amount of copper can be accommodated in the coil. The high winding symmetry with minimal losses and appropriately high efficiency is a desirable side effect.

FLIR Systems has published a technical note describing how its unique UltraMax technology combines the information from multiple original thermal images into an image with higher resolution and less noise. UltraMax images produced on FLIR thermal cameras are consequently clearer and larger, enabling better thermal analysis of even small details. Because the technique generates an increased number of pixels covering the same target area, UltraMax also decreases measurement spot size. As a result you can achieve greater measurement accuracy particularly on small details.
