Micro Switches & Actuators

Micro Switches & Actuators

Microprecision introduced a new range of microswitches MP83, for general purpose use. Versatile, these snap action switches are IP40 protected. They are complementary to the MP300 range of pre-cabled switches with IP67 protection. Economic, this range is designed to operate in temperatures from -60°C to +130°C. They are UL/EN certified with a power rating of 250VAC/16A, with a standard activation force of 0.8N. If required, a high force variant is available and allows the use of a telescopic actuator, with a pin or roller...

uEye ACP: Individual Cameras Based on a Modular Principle

uEye ACP: Individual Cameras Based on a Modular Principle

Custom-made products are required whenever standard industrial cameras reach their limits. Especially for small projects, however, development and cost expenditure are often disproportionately high. Thanks to its flexible modular design principle, the new uEye ACP concept from IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH enables individual, economical solutions to be created – even from single units. With just a few clicks, users can put together their own individual board level camera model using an online configurator and request a quote directly from the manufacturer.

Ensenso XR: 3D Data Directly from the Camera

Ensenso XR: 3D Data Directly from the Camera

When 3D image processing is used in compute-intensive applications, interfaces and CPU power quickly become a bottleneck. Wouldn't it be convenient if the 3D camera already did some of the computing? Ensenso XR is the first stereo vision camera offered by IDS that processes 3D data directly in the FPGA. The camera family initially consists of XR30 and XR36 models. They are very robust thanks to IP65/67 protection class, feature 1.6 MP Sony sensors and can detect objects at working distances of up to 5 metres.

Since the camera calculates 3D data itself, a high-performance...

IDS: More than 100 New USB3 Vision Cameras!

IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH is expanding its USB3 Vision camera range by more than 100 models in the coming weeks. The company integrates the entire range of Sony sensors in several camera families, which it currently already offered with a GigE Vision interface. With IDS peak, it also provides a new SDK for application development for Vision cameras.

IDS peak is entirely based on the standards of EMVA (GenICam) and AIA (GigE Vision, USB3 Vision) and simplifies handling and programming of Vision cameras. You can download...

Infrared Temperature Sensors for Almost Any Application, Even ATEX Zone 0

Infrared Temperature Sensors for Almost Any Application, Even ATEX Zone 0

With over 35 years’ experience in temperature measurement, Calex manufactures non-contact sensors for a wide range of uses in industrial manufacturing and condition monitoring. For example, ExTemp sensors are ATEX and IECEx certified Intrinsically Safe for use in hazardous areas including Zone 0. They provide a near-instant reading of surface temperature at a very affordable price.

Temperature ranges from -20°C to 1000°C are available. The sensor’s 90% response time is just 240 ms, and a linear 4-20 mA output is provided to transmit the measurement to instrumentation...

MP600 Sensors - Sensing 2 Positions within Microns

MP600 Sensors - Sensing 2 Positions within Microns

Microprecision introduced a family of “swiss made” sensors for position detection. The new MP600 series of mechanical sensors very accurately detects two positions within a single, compact electromechanical component. Two independent commutations can sense two previously defined positions to within a few microns of accuracy.

The distance between the two positions can be set specifically for each application, between 0.3mm and 1.5mm. The fixed NC and NO contacts activate with no measurable hysteresis.

Repeatability is less than...
