As articulated arms become increasingly important for load carrying capacity, dynamics and precisions of robots, Schaeffler answers the manufacturers’ needs for robot-based automation solutions, providing right bearing designs that fit the requirements of each of the six axes.

AXES 3 and 4 SUPPORTED BY INA XSU SERIES

For example, while Axes 3 and 4 significantly support the robot arm’s weight, they are characterized by a restricted space of installation of the joint. To fit these specific requirements, Schaeffler optimized the INA XSU-series.

In fact, the INA XSU-series crossed roller bearings combines high load carrying capacity and rigidity with a small bearing cross-section. These characteristics makes it ideal for narrow design envelopes and installation on Axes 3 and 4.
