Thermoteknix have introduced their new 640x480 resolution MicroCAM thermal imaging core with 17micron pixel pitch. The product draws <1.0W of power and weighs 44g/1.55 oz making it apt for all low weight, low power consumption applications. Two models of the new high resolution core are available – one with a shutter (requiring a NUC/Non Uniformity Correction) and another version which utilises the company's XTi Shutterless Technology. This technology allows for a camera containing no moving parts which is completely silent in operation andrequires no NUC, meaning there is no interruption to viewing.
