Condenser/Evaporator Motors

Providing ideal solutions for transit coach air conditioning systems, Ametek’s ROTRON 64 Frame condenser and evaporator motors have a 27.6 VDC brushless construction and a DSP based commutation. They offer a virtually maintenance free operation and service life up to 60,000h and can easily be accommodated in OEM or retrofit applications as drop-in replacements for most existing DC motors up to 1.5kW. Both the condenser and evaporator motors are sealed and electronically protected to resist hot water spray, rain, humidity, salt, fog, shock and vibration. The condenser motors can typically achieve up to 2.7Nm torque at 2,340rpm, where as the evaporator models develop up to 3.6Nm at 2,800rpm. Both incorporate rare-earth magnets for high torque/weight ratio, provide protections against reverse polarity and voltage surges, and are sealed with O-rings as standard. Motors can be specified with custom shaft and mounting configurations (foot and face), performance design variations, and otherwise tailored to satisfy particular application requirements. Integrated brushless motor/drive packages can serve to simplify installation and eliminate issues associated with interconnection cabling, setup, noise, and compatibility.
