The AC500 PLC system from ABB Stotz-Kontakt is a flexible automation platform with a clear system structure allowing fast hardware configuration and easy integration thanks to the use of standardized interfaces and a de-facto standard programming environment. It has a large storage capacity for operational data and is equipped with extensive communication technology. There are 6 different CPU modules available for the AC500 system, all offering serial communication possibilities with drives, robots, inverters and energy meters. 4 of these modules are Ethernet enabled with a built-in web server support and IP socket interfaces for specific network solutions. Their pre-wiring concept makes installation and upgrading very easy and cost-effective.
