The encoders from ifm electronic enable data transmission via CANopen interface DS301 according to the encoder profile DSP406 class 1 and 2. Coding switches to set the bus address, baud rate, bus termination and zero point are under the housing cover. The encoders feature module and status LEDs for easy diagnosis. Using the CANopen interface, the scaling, preset values and direction of rotation can be programmed. Rotational speeds up to 6,000 rpm are reliably detected. The shaft load can be up to 10 N axial and up to 20 N radial. The aluminum housing has the protection rating IP 67.
