The full shell molding technique developed by Perucchini for the production of precision castings, cast iron and steel, guarantees tight dimensional tolerances according to ISO 8062-CT6,  fine controlled thickness and an excellent rough surface quality of the Ra 6,3 level. This full shell molding technology minimizes the need of machining operations. The technique of full shell molding consists in casting liquid metal inside shells with internal cores. These cores are formed with sands treated and coated with thermosetting resins. Furthermore a sophisticated software simulates casting filling and solidification.
