Elika is the new Marzocchi proposal for the market of gear pumps. It fits all those applications requiring low noise levels and allows to eliminate adverse noise effects on humans and on the surrounding environment. The pump reduces the noise emission on average of 15 dBA compared to a conventional gear pump. The maximum operating pressures are similar to those of GHP series and extend up to 300 bar. At the heart of the product is the particular shape of the product's profile, which eliminates the phenomenon of encapsulation typical of normal gear pumps, removing the main cause of noise and vibrations. The elimination of the encapsulated volume produces a major reduction in the pressure oscillations and vibration to the other components connected to the pump (hosing, tank, valves) producing many advantages on the plant. The helical toothing ensures the continuity of motion despite the low number of teeth, greatly reducing the fundamental frequencies of the pump noise and making the sound particularly pleasant. In this way it was possible to minimize both the pressure oscillations and their frequency. The very low noise level makes this product ideal for applications where screw pumps, vane pumps and internal gear pumps are generally used. ELI2 is the first series of the family Elika and includes displacements from 7 to 35 cm3/rev.
