Global Monitoring, innovators of industrial-grade remote monitoring and control systems, celebrates 25 years of business within the remote monitoring and control industry. Founded in 1988, the instrumentation and controls company has sold over 10,000 remote monitoring and control systems to customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia.

Global Monitoring founder Steve Sanislo attributes the company's success to a unique business model that combines the attributes of a large organization with those of a smaller business. While operating like a big business with a global reach, the company remains efficient with a deliberately small but specialized engineering staff concentrated on product development, design and mechanical engineering. Even as sales increased over the past 25 years, the company has decreased overhead and expanded its technology portfolio.

"Hardware, software and mechanical engineering are performed in-house so that we can maintain tight control on quality and technological development," notes Steve Sanislo, CEO and President of Global Monitoring. "By outsourcing practically everything else associated with product manufacturing, we have extraordinary production flexibility with minimal overhead and administrative costs. We can par down manufacturing in a business downturn and ramp up to meet peak demand. As a result, we have been financially stable and debt-free for over 10 years."
