The HARTING Technology Group is delighted with its attendance at the recent Hannover Messe and is already looking forward to 2017, when Poland will be partner country. "We are thrilled with this year's event. We have rarely seen so many high points as with this trade fair. A large number of customers are interested in our Industry 4.0 solutions and products", says Philip Harting, Chairman of the Board of the HARTING Technology Group.

HARTING IIC MICA was the focus of attention throughout the event. Developed by the HARTING IT Software Development subsidiary, MICA (Modular Industry Computing Architecture) has a major role in digitalisation.

Digitalisation leads to Integrated Industry, which in turn requires intelligent interfaces for vertical and horizontal integration. This is where MICA comes in as the connecting element. HARTING is pursuing a systems concept here, providing everything from a single source: MICA is perfectly adapted to the Technology Group's smart components. The smart Han® and Han-Modular® connectors are the connecting elements here. Data is conveyed to MICA via RFID or sensor technology, where it is collected, evaluated and interpreted. MICA is ultimately the link to the Cloud.

MICA can be incorporated into new and existing machines in a facility, making continuous inventory possible for Asset Management. This increases security and accelerates processes through tool and machine module recognition. The benefits are also clear for Condition Monitoring/Predictive Maintenance: there is no unplanned down time, quality is improved and costs reduced. HARTING was awarded the coveted HERMES AWARD for MICA at the Hannover Messe opening event. Another highlight was obviously the visit from US President Barack Obama and Chancellor Angela Merkel at the beginning of the event.

In a year's time, Poland will be the partner country for the Hannover Messe. "We are delighted that our neighbouring country Poland will be there," continues Philip Harting. Polish industry is delivering impressive growth and innovation in many areas. This is of interest to companies and investors from around the world, HARTING included. The HARTING subsidiary in Poland has seen considerable increases in both sales and turnover over the last year.

HARTING Polska Sp.z o.o won the Diamonds of Business Forbes Award recently - proof of how strong this HARTING subsidiary is seen to be on the Polish market. The Award is given to companies in Poland showing particularly strong financial results and growth.
