These hollow or solid shaft encoders from W+S Messsysteme use unbreakable optical disks or magnetic sensors, mechanical assemblies machined from solid aluminum and a floating bearing assembly that is highly tolerant of misalignments and overloading. They have a conservative electronic design in combination with a custom ASIC, with 100% short circuit and reverse voltage protection. Both the IH103 and the IH950 are available with shaft bore diameters ranging from 0.625 to 1.625” and in a resolution up to maximum 50,000ppr.
