With 33,000 tickets sold, and the outlook towards an already sold-out HUSUM WindEnergy 2012 trade fair managing director Hanno Fecke can be very happy with the results of HUSUM WindEnergy, which drew to a close at the weekend. Visitors came from 80 countries to see a total of 971 exhibitors from 28 nations. Industry experts estimate that projects with a value of around five billion euros were initiated or further developed during the five-day trade show.
Summing up, Fecke drew attention to the positive stimulus that has come out of the show: “The exhibitors’ mood was positively keyed up. At an international level, nobody really knows how things will develop in the USA next year. In Germany the electricity feed-in law is up for renegotiation. This is a very responsible job, because Germany is a role model when it comes to renewable energy, and this is not something we should jeopardise carelessly”.
