CSM released HV Breakout Modules (HV BM), in 1- and 3-phase modules. These modules are used to measure high voltages and currents precisely and synchronously in high-voltage environments with a data rate of up to 1 MHz. This maximum data rate is possible via EtherCAT interface, and simultaneously with a data rate of up to 10 kHz via an additional CAN interface. This results in a high-speed data acquisition on the one hand, and in data recording via CAN data logger on the other hand.

High-voltage cables are routed into the housing through PG cable glands or special adapters with HV plugs. The HV BM can measure voltages up to 1,000 V directly and carries out measurement up to 800 A via shunt modules, which contain a differential amplifier as well as a temperature sensor and memory to store calibration data for automatic online temperature compensation.
