Illuminated Plungers

Mentor has developed illuminated plungers for use in short stroke pushbuttons. This plunger series is fit for all applications that do not require full face key illumination. Two plunger variants are available: an illuminated plunger with up to four illuminated points when combined with chip LEDs, and a variant for dedicated keypad applications without illumination. The plungers can be combined with pushbuttons from the Mentor 1254 series or other makes. Featuring a modular design, the plungers can also be freely combined with the familiar pushbutton caps for full face or point illumination as well as the signal indicators from the Mentor keypad component series. The plungers are available in the two sizes 15 x 15 mm and 19 x19 mm and in the two heights 12.5 mm and 9.7 mm. The integrated twistlock enhances the reliability of automated installation.
