Hermetically sealed to IP 67 standards, Müller Industrie Elektronik’s touchM industrial keyboard series feature a dirt repellent surface made of LG HI-MACS acrylic stone that complies with NSF norms for hygiene. It is impervious to contamination and can be cleaned with aggressive disinfectants. OEM versions of the keyboard using glass, mineral glass and solid wood are likely to follow. Made up of a conductor plate connected to a large number of sensing elements and evaluation electronics, the keyboard may be utilized using protective gloves by adjusting the sensitivity of the switching elements. Input fields can optionally provide tactile, acoustic, or optical feedback signals. Windows compatible, the keyboards are fitted with USB and PS/2 interfaces as standard. Different layouts from desktop to front panel mounting versions for 19” racks are available. Operational temperature range is from -10 to 50 °C.
