Global industrial automation company Inovance is showing their Total Automation Solution at SPS. The solution includes the full automation line from AC drives, servos, motion, and HMIs to industrial robots and associated software. As part of the display, Inovance will preview their real-time servo control with wireless technology for the first time in Europe. The applications with the greatest potential for wireless technology are those where there is a trend of going cabinetless by having integrated servo motor drives within the machinery. Another example is applications where the servo motor is mounted onboard the rotating part of the machine, so the need for expensive slip rings (and associated maintenance) is avoided. The aim of these applications is to bring down machine cost by using less labour and fewer components. Wireless technology helps achieve this by reducing complex control wiring between servos and adjacent control elements.
