Six general purpose accelerometers from Wilcoxon Research received an IECEx certification, approving them for use in Class I Zone 0 hazardous areas. These vibration sensors with a sensitivity of 100 mV/g and a tight +5% sensitivity tolerance, are suited to industrial machinery health monitoring of rotating equipment used in hazardous area locations. Wilcoxon Research sensors were tested to the IEC requirements by KEMA and have been certified by SIRA to meet the quality system requirements of the IECEx scheme. The IECEx standards are recognized worldwide by most industrialized countries.
