Wachendorff Automation is expanding its portfolio of absolute encoders in the WDGA series with variants featuring an IO-Link interface. This makes integration into modern automation environments even easier, more efficient, and more future-proof. They are based on proven EnDra® technology – a maintenance-free multiturn principle without gears or batteries. They offer high resolution of up to 16 bits (singleturn) and 43 bits (multiturn) and are equipped with the fast IO-Link COM3 interface. The devices are ideal for use in packaging machines or roll-to-roll processes.
The encoders offer a Smart Sensor Profile (SSP) for straightforward integration and constantly display the operating state and potential errors via an LED. They are compatible with standard IO-Link masters and unshielded cables, and parameterisation via an IO-Link master is possible. Depending on the type, the devices are available with IP65, IP67 or IP69K protection. Integrated condi- tion monitoring helps minimise downtime and maximise the availability of the machines in which they are used.
