Eaton announced that its Crouse-Hinds division has launched a range of robust, explosion-protected LED emergency light fitting with self-contained battery. The light fittings are suitable for illuminating emergency escape routes and the marking of exits in hazardous gas (Zone 1 and 2) and hazardous dust (Zone 21 and 22) areas as well as harsh industrial environments. The new Planete 400 AD DL series of Ex-protected LED emergency light fittings are equipped with 32 long life LEDs, offering extremely low power consumption. The ATEX-certified light fittings are extremely robust and rugged (IP67 protection rating), providing excellent resistance to shocks, impacts and vibration. The housing is made from copper-free aluminium with a borosilicate glass tube. The light fittings are available with all relevant escape signs typically found in harsh or hazardous environments, including offshore and onshore oil & gas installations, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and petrochemical industrial plants.
