Müller Industrie-Elektronik has announced the availability of low cost versions of its ME-Series sensors. These come with such standard features as the HART communication signal, the 4-20mA current loop 2-wire technology. The housing body is still adjustable by 300°. The sensors do not have displays or switching points due to cost issues. Their operation and adjustment is carried out via HART interface and software. The process connections are stainless steel and electrical connections are available in a variety of industry standard plastic connectors. Protected to IP65 the first low cost devices include MEPS-T pressure transmitters, the METS-WT temperature sensor and the METS-WT level sensor. MELS-FT
