Among the Butterfly Valve Series (available in 100, 160, 200 and 500 series), the Galactic Series from Vamein de España, manufacturer of Butterfly Valves and actuators since 1968, can be used in numerous industries and is valid for any type of fluids (liquids, gases, high-density / powder products), from water to aggressive chemical products at different pressures and temperatures. Maintenance free, the valves feature a body encircling type seat made of virgin Poly Tetra Fluoro Ethylene “PTFE”, isostatically moulded of 3mm thickness, which is suitable for chemical applications. The disc is encapsulated with PFA and UHMWPE, with 3 mm thick, and is mechanically fastened.

The one piece cast stainless steel slim disc provides a high “Cv” or “Kv” rating, minimizing obstructions to the flow, reducing pressure drop at a very low level. To ensure complete stem isolation from the fluid, Shaft PFA or UHMWPE are coated in areas in contact with the liner. The self-lubricating bearings are PTFE coated, and bolts in stainless steel are used to fix both parts of the body. These valves comprise centring holes in Wafer body for the right alignment with flanges during installation, and their body design enable to place heat insulation. Moreover, the top flange complies with ISO-5211 to suit standardized actuators.
